Description
The application for printing documents for employees provides two printer options in the dropdown: Laser printer and Dot matrix printer. However, the application always selects the Laser printer by default. When the print command is initiated, the printouts are sent to the Laser printer. In cases where the Laser printer is unavailable, the application attempts to print using the Dot matrix printer but repeatedly encounters an error message.
Steps to Reproduce
- Log in to the application using valid credentials.
- Navigate to the document printing section.
- Locate the printer selection dropdown.
- Observe that the Laser printer is preselected by default.
- Choose a document to print.
- Initiate the print command.
Expected Result
The application should provide both printer options in the dropdown and allow the user to select the desired printer. If the Laser printer is available, the printouts should be directed to it. If the Laser printer is unavailable, the application should automatically switch to the Dot matrix printer and print
successfully.
Actual Result
The application always defaults to the Laser printer, even if the user manually selects the Dot matrix printer from the dropdown. When the Laser printer is unavailable, the application attempts to print using the Dot matrix printer but repeatedly displays an error message, preventing successful printing.
