No spelling error or red underlining for misspelled words

Description

The desktop app for writing is not giving warnings or red underlining for misspelled words.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the desktop app
2. When the app is opened observe there are options that are checked by default
3. Leave only checked "Spelling error"
4. Start typing words

Expected results:
For a misspelled words, error message should appear or red underlining indicating spelling error.

Actual results:
Misspelled words have no red underlining, and no error message is displayed, although spelling error is checked
