The applications is making inaccurate calculation and incorrect salary data generated by the module is affecting the database, balance sheet, tax calculations, and annual salary calculations.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Access the application for calculating salaries
2. Input the data for salary calculations for an employee( id, rank, hours worked, overtime etc)
3. Initiate salary calculation
4. Observe that the calculated salary is not as expected
5. Verify the transmitted salary data in the database and notice that it reflects the balance sheet, tax calculations, and annual salary calculations

Expected results:
The application accurately calculates the salary for the employee for the data input

Actual results:
The salary calculation module is producing inaccurate salary figures, leading to incorrect data in the database.
